This warming tea is designed to:

  • create heat and circulation in the body
  • rebuild yang
  • calm the mind

Some additional items to add on to that compliment include dried red roses, honey, fresh apples, dried longans, dried goji berries, dried tangerine peels, or cinnamon stick for additional warmth and healing.

What’s involved?

Prep time: 2 mins

Cook time: 2 mins

Total time: 4 mins

Serves: 1 cup of tea

Ingredients

Cooking Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the ginger (use as little or as much as you’d like depending on how spicy you’d like it)
  2. Add in the ginger and dried red dates to a ceramic cup. Be sure the red dates have no seeds, as the seeds are fiery. You can follow this video here to learn more.
  3. Fill the cup with boiling water, cover and let that steep for 2 minutes.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

What you’ll need:

You can also use this stove top safe tea pot to make your Chinese herbal teas. This will keep all the ingredients together and allow you to serve more than one cup.

These dried red dates are amazing, already seeded, and perfect for teas and soups!

Try these dried tangerine peels!  I like how they are already pre-sliced for teas, so the flavours will seep out more.  And you can portion what you want. This is a great product!
